Grant Smith began his insurance career in 1977 when he went to work for an insurance company. He started in the agency side of the business in 1984. Grant is also the agency owner and President. Grant serves on the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of the Panhandle. He specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance for all types of businesses. |

Jeff Perkins, CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), joined our staff in February 2005. He was in the banking business for six years before joining the insurance industry in 1985. Jeff will be concentrating on your commercial insurance needs. |

Al P. Cunningham is our Life, Health and Employee Benefits specialist. Al is Past President of the Panhandle Association of Health Underwriters and past State Board Member of the Texas Association of Health Underwriters. He has 34 years of experience in the Life and Employee Benefits field. Al can assist you with all of your business and personal insurance needs.

H. Maxey Dodson has worked in insurance since 1967. He is a Past President of the local Independent Insurance Agent's Association (IIAA). Maxey works primarily with commercial lines insurance.

Darinda Brogdon, ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative), began working in the insurance industry in 1977. Darinda has personal lines, claims, and commercial lines experience. She is assistant to Grant Smith and Maxey Dodson and now works primarily with commercial lines insurance.

Carolyn Mason, ACSR, assists Grant Smith. Carolyn started working for PIA Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1968, and has many years of experience working with our commercial lines customers as a Customer Service Representative.

Connie McKay assists Al Cunningham as our Life, Health and Employee Benefits Customer Service Representative. Connie started with our agency in 1996. She came to us with prior experience selling Life insurance.

our agency in March of 2008. Michele will be handling our Personal Lines

Kim Pitt, ACSR, is assistant to Jeff Perkins and also works with other small commercial accounts for our agency. Kim's experience in other areas of our office includes Claims Coordinator and Accounting Manager. Kim has been with PIA since 1989.

Denita Reyna is PIA's Office Manager and this site's webmaster. Denita's experience with PIA began in 1987. She has worked as a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative, Commercial Lines Marketer, and continues to function as Accounting Manager and Computer System Coordinator.

April Schmehr, ACSR, has been PIA's Claims Coordinator since 2001. She will be happy to assist you in reporting your claim. April works with claim adjusters and company personnel to get your claim resolved as quickly as possible.

Cherriee Taylor is our receptionist and supply clerk. She started working for PIA Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1977. Cherriee has a real talent for recognizing voices on the phone.
